Family Photos

We were lucky enough to have one of our very talented friends take some family pictures of us recently. I am so happy with the way they turned out and know I will look back on them and be able to remember this time being pregnant as a wonderful one.

Nursery

We have finally finished Norah's nursery. Well, I might still be adding a few touches in some spots, but overall it's complete. I have to say, I am really pleased with the way it turned out. There was so much love put into this room - I can't wait to bring her home to it! The tree on the wall was painted by Mike and he spent many hours working on it. Isn't she lucky to have such a great Daddy? The shelf was made by my friend Mollie and I LOVE it. The frame above the glider says "The first time her laughter unfurled it's wings in the wind, we knew that the world would never be the same" and it was a gift to me for Valentine's Day 1999 from my mom and dad. Also on the shelf are many pictures of Mike with his parents when he was little, and some of me with my parents. I am looking forward to many memories in this room - reading, singing, rocking, playing, and all the joy that she will bring to our home.

Showers

Over the past two months we have had three showers in honor of Norah. I cannot express how lucky we feel to have such wonderful co-workers, friends, and family to celebrate with!

The first shower was thrown by my co-workers at school. Renee and Jamie hosted and I was blown away by the little touches - "lollipops" made with washcloths and spoons, a mini Christmas tree with pink baby bottles, and of course delicious food and HUGE cupcakes! We had such a good time and Norah got VERY spoiled with all the presents. I love my work ladies!

The second shower was a couple's shower hosted by my friends Tera and Meghann. It was really fun to celebrate with all of our male and female friends and we were so excited and flattered that so many people traveled long distances to be with us. Again, we are so lucky to have such great friends! The food was delicious and Norah recieved even more great things - I was completely overwhelmed with everyone's generosity. One gift Mike was really excited about - a mini skateboard for Norah!

The third shower was hosted by my friend Mollie and her mom. I have known Mollie and her family since 5th grade! It was nice to celebrate with my mom, Mike's mom, and my good friends from high school. We ate some MORE good food and I was lucky enough to even take home some of Ramona's famous chocolate chip cookies! For some reason, I wasn't as good about taking pictures at this shower, but thought I would share a few. Norah got some adorable clothes and toys and we had such a good time playing Baby Scattergories, although I lost terribly.

When she finally decides to make her debut, she is already one very well loved little girl! I had so much fun at each of these showers and love each and every person who made it so special by celebrating with us. :)
