Bird Feeder

Jommy and Pops got Ellie a bird feeder for her birthday. We have already had quite a few birds and the girls love to watch. Although Ellie keeps calling it a "Food-er bird!"

Ellie is Three

We celebrated Ellie's third birthday today. We had a small party and of course, cake. She requested a cake with pink icing, strawberries on top, and a Strawberry Shortcake candle. What the birthday girl wants, she gets! The only snag in the birthday fun was when Ellie's balloon that Auntie Laura brought flew away. There were lots of tears, so Jommy, Pops, and Laura left and within minutes she had a brand new pink balloon! Our girl is sweet, thoughtful, playful, loving and smart and she makes our family complete.

Truck

Fafa and Magee came over to help us get some mulch and to celebrate Ellie's birthday. The girls had a great time in Fafa's truck!

Shoes

This pair of shoes started with Norah, and now Ellie is about to outgrow them and it's sad to let them go. However without them, there wouldn't have been so much learning, growing, playing, running and jumping.

School Birthday Celebration

Today was Ellie's last day of school before her birthday, so we celebrated with her friends in class today. She was so excited and happy!

Dentist

The girls both had dentist visits this week. It was Ellie's first time and she was very brave. Norah really enjoyed showing her sister how it was done.

Swim Lessons

This girl LOVES the water and gets so excited for swim lessons.

One day they won't ask to be held anymore, so this view is precious to me.

The girls and I played around with the self-timer on the camera this morning. My new goal is to be in more pictures, and not just behind the camera!

Kindergarden Registration

Norah is all registered for Kindergarden!

Get Well

Jommy sent Norah some "Get Well" flowers and a balloon today. To say she was thrilled would be a total understatement.

Pharmacy

Norah has a double ear infection and a bad cough. We are running a small pharmacy in our kitchen.

They looked so cute and big after bath tonight. And Norah insisted on tucking her shirt in. Being sick last week gave me a new appreciation for being able to spend time with them and celebrating the sweet moments like bare feet in pajamas after a day outside playing in the sunshine. It takes my breath away how fast they are growing and what silly, sweet, independent little people they are becoming. If I could press a pause button at this stage for a few years, I just might!

Yard Helpers

Norah LOVES to help water the plants (and even the new grass seed Mike planted). We got new sand for the sandbox this year and Ellie is prepared for safety no matter what.

New plants

On Saturday, we planted some flowers, tomatoes, basil, cilantro, and a strawberry plant. This is the first year we have planted tomatoes since we moved to Burnlake Ct, and they are in containers. We are waiting anxiously to see if there is enough sun for them to grow!

Easter 2014

Hard to believe how much the girls have grown in a year. The days can be long, but the years are short.

Flu

I got the flu this week, and it was my turn to use the sick tray.

Chicken

These chickens came from Meme's house over Easter. They walk and "lay" jelly beans, and the girls love them. Norah insisted on getting just the right shot of hers.

Iced Coffee

With the warmer weather brings the first homeade iced coffee of the season!

Easter

The girls were thrilled to discover that the Easter Bunny came last night. That silly bunny hid eggs all down the stairs and even left an egg outside of their rooms! They also loved the treats in their baskets, which included band-aids, wind-up chicks, pretend bunny tails, DVD's and a bubble blower. Ellie used most of her box of band-aids by noon.

We went to church with MeMe and then to her house for a nice dinner. The easter bunny even brought a few treats to her house. Before we left for church at MeMe's, Norah asked if they had to wear bonnets to church. Guess she's taken the Easter songs she's heard to heart!

Pre-school garden

The girls didn't have school for Good Friday, but we met some of Norah's classmates on the playground. She loved showing off her garden!

Singing and swinging

Norah loves to swing, and today she sang the whole time. Who are we kidding, she sang the whole afternoon!

We had a storm door installed today. The girls were interested, but hesitant about, the man who was installing it, even though he was very nice and talked to them the whole time.
