Back to School Night

We had Back to School Night and it was so fun to be in Norah's classroom and see what she's been doing during the day. This was her first entry in her journal.

Car Rider

Norah switched to being a car rider every day, and I have to say I'm loving that time we have together. Sometimes we will just listen to music or she will tell me about her day. We are still getting adjusted to our new routine this year (especially in the morning) but it gets a little easier with each week.

Running series part 2

Norah did a quarter of a mile. She started out towards the back and ended up towards the front of the pack, and even smiled through it all!

Healthy Kids Running Challenge

The girls are doing a running series every Sunday night for a few weeks. We had the first run tonight and they loved it! Ellie did the 50 meter dash.

Wine and Legos

Second week of Kindergarten activities may include, but are not limited to, a trip to Target to pick out a new Lego Elves set, and wine at 4pm. And apparently a kitchen table that needs a good cleaning.

Ellie's first day

Ellie started pre- school today and did so great. She was beyond excited and Norah was so affectionate with her before she left this morning. When I picked Ellie up, she informed that she had already arranged "to go to my friends' house to play." First, we just need to find out which friend in her class it was!

First Day 2014

This was the girls first day last year. It's so cliche but I really can't believe how much they've grown and changed. Ellie starts her three year old class tomorrow and couldn't be more ready!

Rain

It was raining Saturday morning and Norah went out to put some mail in the mailbox for me (and of course splash in some puddles too).

Bus Stop outfit

Nothing like picking up Norah from the bus stop in your finest. This was her idea to pose by the fire hydrant.

Visiting Preschool

Ellie went to visit her preschool class and loved it. Her teachers Mrs. Debbie and Mrs. Wendy seem really sweet and she was "so 'cited" to visit.

These sisters have been happy to see each other in the afternoon.

Ellie's days

Ellie and I have been filling our days with walks, some shopping, and being at least 10 minutes early to the bus stop each day in anticipation of big sis getting home!

First Day of Kindergarten

Norah reported that she had a "really fun day!" at Kindergarten! Ellie and I missed her a lot, and were both happy to see her get off the bus this afternoon. Ellie told her as we were walking home, "I missed you all day No-wah!"

The Night Before Kindergarten

This tiny little baby will get on a school bus tomorrow morning and head to Kindergarten. I'm in disbelief at how fast it has all gone by, but I'm more amazed at what a great kid she is and how ready she is for this next adventure. Here we go!

Sisters

 She was so brave getting up and leaving with her teacher, even though she was nervous. I even got a wave on her way out.

We did a trial run today with Norah's lunch box and tupperware containers to make sure she could open everything and knew what to keep and throw away in the cafeteria. 6 more days!
