Last night we did a virtual happy hour with two of our best couple friends, The Boyces and the Thompsons. Mike got dressed up for the occasion (at least on the top)!

These days we are very thankful for the paths and tunnels that make biking around our neighborhood so fun.

Day 12 March 27th
March 27th, 2020
One of the biggest challenges for the girls has been missing their friends. They were used to playing many hours a day with this huge group of neighbors, and to have that change has been really tough. The weather has been great, so social distance chatting it is!

Day 9 March 24th Petals
March 24th, 2020
It's been a rough 24 hours. Yesterday afternoon, the Governor announced that schools will be closed for the remainder of the year. There were tears, lots of them, and more to come. We are all slowly beginning to let go of what we assumed these next few months would look like. The reality that is appearing is breath-takingly different. The questions will keep coming, but there is faith that the answers will appear. For today, there are bikes and scooters and lovely, blooming trees.

Day 8 March 23rd Chalk messages
March 23rd, 2020
One day last week, Ellie rode around on her hoverboard and wrote chalk messages to some neighbors.
Day 7 March 22nd, 2020 A Day in the Pandemic Life
March 22nd, 2020
Our routine looks quite different than it did just a few weeks ago. However, we are still doing some school work each day, practicing piano (with MeMe on Face Time to listen), and exercising using videos. This new normal has been adjustment, but we are enjoying the good moments like slower mornings and more together time!

365 2020 Day 3
March 18th, 2020
The parents were doing our workout in the garage this morning, and came inside to this lovely surprise. The girls made a full breakfast which included Norah's famous omelette, biscuits, frozen fruit salad, and water with orange slices on toothpicks!

365 2020 Day 1
March 16th, 2020
And so it begins. The start of another 365 Project, as well as isolating and social distancing for the COVID-19 Pandemic. The girls' school is closed for at least a month, both Mike and I are working from home, all appointments and activities have been cancelled, the gym and restaurants have been closed, and we aren't anticipating to see the end soon. So far, I've enjoyed the family time and am embracing and trying to appreciate each day. Today one of our highlights was a bike ride around our neighborhood lake.
Another was that I got a call on my phone from Norah's friend Lorelei who was requesting her omelette recipe. Last week at Girl Scouts, Norah demonstrated for her troop how to make a cheese omelette and it was a hit!
