First Mothers Day

I had a lovely first mother's day! Norah worked very hard (with some help from her Dad) to get me a very sweet card, and a massage and facial, which I'm so excited about. We were lucky enough to have my mom in town that day since she and Ron babysat for us the night before. We actually went out and had a blast at a birthday BBQ. :)

I thought I would post some pictures of Norah in an adorable new hat that she received as a gift from one of my mom's good friends Melissa. Can you tell she knows how fabulous she looks?!

The picture below is from her two month doctor's appointment. We can just say that it was a pretty rough day for all of us. I am so thankful to Mike that he was able to help us both through this appointment because she got five (yes, five at one time!) vaccinations. Neither of us have ever heard her scream so loud, but she was so brave and didn't scream for long. She was fussy and got a little fever so I gave her some Tylenol, and by the next day she was back to normal. Poor thing. I don't know who it was harder on - Norah or Mike and me.

I hope all the mothers I know had a wonderful day on Sunday. I feel so lucky to have such a loving and supportive mom, and to have a mother in law who raised such a kind and caring husband. Most of all though, I am lucky to be Norah's Mom. She makes me smile every day and has brought me more joy in these first few months than I ever knew was possible.

Happy Mother's Day!

  1. It might sound awful, but the night Sara was fussy with her 2 month vaccinations, I was relieved that I finally KNEW what she was crying about. I was comforting her about SOMETHING. That first 8 weeks? She was just crying at the wind, and nothing helped. The night of the shots was the first time I felt like a Mom.

Happy First Mother's Day! Greg bought me a dress to wear to Randy and Jess' wedding...and it's so beautiful. I can't wait to meet Norah!
